Amazing Author Jack Meggitt-Phillips visits Years 3-6 for Maidstone Literary Festival

Palace Wood had a wonderful time with the incredible award-winning author Jack Meggitt-Phillips. The interactive assembly had the children engaged, excited and writing their own collaborative evil character. The fantastic author of The Beast and The Bethany books talked with the children as a group and then one to one in a fantastic book signing event. We know this has excited readers and writers alike, and encouraged our own budding authors to put their own pen to paper.

A huge welcome to the new Reading Ambassadors for 23-24. We had an excellent first meeting organising who will volunteer for what. The ambassadors are so enthusiastic. Over the rest of the term we will be trained to be librarians and begin reading with other children. Our next meeting to discuss the newsletter is coming up and we can't wait.
